It was first thought of in December 2011, the journey has been quite interesting and has taught us much!  We have been looking for land for all of last year. At the end of the year it became clear that we needed to define the Global Ascension Center in a more focused way before we would find and be able to fund the land.  This took a few months, and on Monday 6th of May, we began our search again.

This is the first property to be visited:

I agree with Anne's comment, the energy was a bit anxious (but welcoming)... The firts times I saw the land, and the times after, it looked also more open, maybe that the monts were not so close, more grass. We have to thing about the disturbing noise too.

Perhaps we should have a discussion on the "human occupation" of the land. I'm envisioning about 5-10 people that live there to be caretakers of the land, then on a monthly basis 10-20 others would gather for weekend workshops (or even an entire week). How do the rest of you see it?

Hello Inelia, An’ all o’ ya,

I have the site plan of Tornado Plantation. I don't see how to upload it here. How? I also don't see my previous post here. I haven't received a personal reply to my post.

Perhaps we should discuss the "human occupation" of the land. I had envisioned 5-10 people to live there year-round to be caretakers, then there may be monthly workshops with an additional 10-20 people staying for a few days.

As for the building on the land, I'm so glad you have pronounced the keywords "sacred land". It's just what I flt about this Center, and I believe there could be landscape arrangements that are not invasive. Gaia could be very well asked if She would like some stones grouped here and there, or stumps/billets maybe, that could still mark the human side of the purpose of the land. I feel it would not serve to "just leave it like it is". There also are possibilities of leveling or otherwise modelling the surface (A parapet, rather than a hand-rail, for instance, on the belvedere point on the left side of the access road, showed in the film).

From the above info, I have one idea for the structure that may be suitable for a minimal impact that would meet the needs of the centre; it is a geodesic biodome type of structure that can have open entrances to the environment. This can provide a seamless transition from the environment to the inside. I.e. the inside can be landscaped with grass, flowers, trees, etc.: It will provide shelter from the weather. Such structures can be made from wood or metal, with transparent surfaces to provide a very open view. It can support gatherings, conferences of a hundred people or more. Some examples:

OK, I do see that the about page is not clear. The word Center is not about a location where we all meet to have events. It is the Core, the essence, the heart of something :)

Would you have events in Native American sacred land? That will is more the energy and creation around the Global Ascension Center. A sacred space, not an occupation by us, or a place to hold several hundred people. There are plenty of those already, really fabulous ones. No need for another one.

Is it appropriate to build in sacred land? At the moment, any building that required building permits, does not resonate with the land as it is highly invasive. If any human constructs do go up, they will need to be small and temporary.

That's fine if it meets the needs of the Center; I can't say I've seen any info on the detail requirements of the Center. It's important to discuss the activities and goal of a centre; I made the assumption that such activities would require a permanent structure of some sort. A common understanding of the requirements is necessary to know what is needed. :-)
